Oregon City is one of the oldest cities in the state, and its housing stock reflects that. A lot of what we see here is heating equipment in homes that were built long before anyone was thinking about ducted central air.
Houses built before central systems were standard often have undersized ductwork, no ductwork at all, or decades of additions that the original system was never designed to reach. That changes what the right answer is.
