Questions we get asked
Can I get air conditioning without any ductwork?
Yes, and that is the main reason mini-splits exist. The indoor head mounts on a wall or ceiling and connects to the outdoor unit through a small opening, so there is no duct system to install.
How many rooms can one system handle?
A single outdoor unit commonly supports up to four or five indoor heads depending on the model and the load. Each head is controlled separately, so unused rooms are not being conditioned for no reason.
Do mini-splits need maintenance?
They do, and it gets skipped more than it should. The indoor filters and blower wheel collect dust and need periodic cleaning, and a neglected head loses output and can start to smell.
